Our dishes

As a traditional restaurant, as we undoubtedly are, we see no contradiction with modern Viennese cuisine. Fancy a little taster?

Beef tartare is served with smoked celery, black garlic and pepper foam, roast venison comes with rhubarb and radish. The fried brown trout is accompanied by gnocchi and artichokes. And our vegan peppers are filled with a fine combination of mushrooms, bulgur wheat and capers.

We promise you the best from Austria’s cuisine & cellar, and we keep that promise. Our impressive wine cellar boasts around 30,000 bottles. We have one simple rule: Local food is best paired with local wine. We’re blessed with many excellent local wines, so you’re sure to find the right wine for your taste.

If you’re spoiled for choice, would like a change or want to discover something new, our wine sommelier will be happy to help.

Schnapps and spirits

Our enormous selection of spirits and brandies has nothing to do with the intoxicated chimney sweep to whom we owe our name. Rather, it’s about offering you an enjoyable and special visit to our restaurant in every respect.

You won’t find such variety – from aperitifs to cigar brandy and all kinds of spirits – anywhere else in Vienna, nor perhaps anywhere elsewhere. On that note: Take your time, savour and enjoy!
