Only the very best products are used, the majority from local farm produce, to prepare classic dishes such as sauerkraut soup, catfish, schnitzel, venison or beef roulade. In addition, our menu regularly changes to include traditional Austrian dishes, which are interpreted in a more modern way by our chef.

As head chef at the Weißer Rauchfangkehrer, Matthias Schicht succeeds in making the soul of Viennese cuisine tangible in every bite. Matthias brings a contemporary touch to traditional cuisine, as his compositions pay homage to the past, while at the same time looking to the future.
His modern interpretations of classic dishes are not only a treat for the palate, but also visually appealing and yet at the same time reminiscent of traditional Viennese cuisine.
